Fitness Trend ("we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your personal information when you use the Fitness Trend mobile application and our website at fitnesstrend.app (the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide accurate energy tracking and offline synchronization:

A. Account & Contact Information

• Email Address: Used for secure login, account identification, and essential service notifications.
• Authentication Tokens: Encrypted session tokens provided by OAuth identity providers (Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In) or email one-time passcode (OTP) verification.
• Push Notification Device Token: If you grant notification permissions, a device push token is stored solely to alert you when background meal photo analysis finishes. You can revoke notification permissions at any time in device settings.

B. Health & Fitness Tracking Data

• Body Weight Logs: Scale weight entries, date timestamps, and preferred weight units (lb / kg).
• Nutritional Records: Food names, user descriptions, calorie / kilojoule counts, macronutrient quantities (protein, carbohydrates, fat), and logging timestamps.
• User Goals & Calculation Preferences: Target weekly rate of change, goal weight, start date, and maintenance calculation settings.

C. Meal Photos & Camera Data (Transient Processing)

If you use our photo logging feature, you can capture a meal with your camera or select an image from your photo library:

• Transient In-Memory Processing: Photos are transmitted securely via HTTPS and processed transiently in memory by AI vision models solely to estimate food items, ingredients, calories, and macronutrients.
• Never Stored in the Cloud: Fitness Trend does not save, archive, or retain your photos in any cloud database or storage bucket. Once the nutritional estimate is returned, the photo data is discarded immediately.
• No AI Model Training: Your meal photos are never used to train public generative AI models and are never sold or shared with third parties for marketing.
• Camera Permission: Camera and photo library access is completely optional and used only when you actively initiate meal logging. The app never accesses your camera or photos in the background.

D. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

Fitness Trend is 100% ad-free. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or commercial marketing pixels (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or TikTok tags) on fitnesstrend.app or within the mobile application. Local device storage is used strictly to remember functional settings (such as your preferred dark or light theme).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your data strictly for the following purposes:

• Calculating Maintenance & Energy Needs: Analyzing changes in body weight relative to nutritional intake over time to calculate your personalized daily energy needs and maintenance targets.
• Automated Meal Recognition: Processing meal photos and text descriptions via secure AI models to estimate macronutrients and calories.
• Offline Queue & Cloud Synchronization: Seamlessly saving your logs on your local device and syncing them to your private cloud account.
• Account Administration: Authenticating your access, managing active subscription status, and restoring past data across your devices.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We partner with trusted, SOC-2 compliant infrastructure providers to operate Fitness Trend:

• Supabase Inc.: Cloud database hosting, encrypted storage, and user authentication. Data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
• RevenueCat Inc.: Manages subscription status, purchase validation, and entitlement syncing across devices. RevenueCat processes anonymous store transaction identifiers and never receives your credit card numbers.
• AI Model Providers: Meal photos and food descriptions are transmitted securely to advanced cloud inference models to estimate nutritional content. Queries are processed transiently.
• Cloudflare Inc.: Website hosting, DDoS protection, and SSL encryption for fitnesstrend.app.
• Apple App Store & Google Play: Process all subscription billing and payments. Fitness Trend never handles, stores, or sees your payment card details.

We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal or fitness data to any advertising networks or data brokers.

4. Data Storage, Security & Retention

A. Security Protections

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure. All data transmissions between your device and our servers are encrypted via HTTPS/TLS.

B. Data Retention & Permanent Deletion

We retain your logs and profile records only for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, all personal profile records, body weight measurements, and nutrition logs are immediately and permanently purged from our active database with zero secondary retention archives or backup snapshots. 5. Your Rights & Data Controls

Regardless of where you reside, Fitness Trend provides comprehensive data control:

• Access & Export: You can view all past daily logs, weight entries, and maintenance metrics directly in the app.
• Correction & Editing: You can edit or delete any logged food entry, weight measurement, or profile setting at any time.
• Complete Account Deletion: You can permanently delete your account directly inside the app (Menu > Account > Delete Account) or by submitting a deletion request on our Data Deletion Page.
• Revoking Permissions: You can revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time through your device's system settings.

6. Jurisdiction-Specific Privacy Rights

A. European Union & UK (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation, our legal basis for processing your information is the performance of our contract with you (providing the Service) and our legitimate interest in securing and improving the app. You have the right to request access, rectification, portability, erasure of your data, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

B. California Residents (CCPA / CPRA)

We do not sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. In the preceding 12 months, we have not sold or shared any consumer personal data. California residents may exercise their rights to know, delete, or correct personal data by contacting us.

7. Age Eligibility and Minors' Privacy

The Service is strictly intended for individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect, maintain, or process personal data, health metrics, or dietary information from anyone under the age of 18. If we discover that an individual under 18 has created an account or submitted personal information, we will promptly terminate the account and permanently delete all associated data.
